Beginners Printmaker Kit
Want to learn a variety of printmaking techniques? Look no further, this print kit will provide the basics in mono-printing, lino and dry-point etching!
This print kit is founded on my 'Introduction to Printmaking' course which I have been teaching for a number of years around Australia. This course was created for students of any level to learn the basics of printmaking. I was initially teaching lino cut, etching, mono printing, collagraphs and mixed media. My intention of these kits was to make things simple and easy for my students, whether they were learning in person or online. It has been my ultimate goal to make printmaking accessible and easy for everyone. This printmaking kit will allow you to print on your kitchen bench or counter. No printing press is require for mono-printing and lino techniques. Explore layering, collaging and mixed media through printerly techniques.
This print kit is non toxic. I use Caligo oil based safe wash inks which can be used on paper or fabric. It is a very versatile ink that can be translated from etching to lino to monotyes and vice versa.
Please note: In order to print dry point etching an etching press is required. Experimental etching can be printed on a thin rice paper or tissue paper. Small and economical etching presses can be purchased through Melbourne Etching Supplies or alternatively a mini print press through the https://openpressproject.com
