New Products and Photography

I started this business over 10 years ago, when social media, selling online or representing oneself didn’t really seem like a ‘thing’. Nowadays you can take amazing photos and videos from your phone, use wireless headphones and easily be in touch with people all over the world. Social media allows us to connect and reach a greater audience in just moments. But it can also make us feel simultaneously disconnected.

I have a love/hate relationship with social media. Because on one hand, it does give a business this incredible platform and exposure but on the other hand it can drain the life out of you. It has allowed me to keep in touch with people all over the world and yet make me feel further away from friends at the same time. It’s a weird feeling. But as a small business trying to keep up with the evolution of technology and new apps alongside the artistic process can feel like an enormous weight on my shoulders. So, occasionally I take a step back and ask for some help.

Recently I got in touch with Alex from LXO creative to help with some of my photography. My aim was to focus on art/product photography and to inspire people with my travel inspired concepts. Of course, my artwork always remains the priority of my business, but sometimes I do need a break from all those inks and chemicals and the labour intensive process of etching. My other love does seem to be designing and working with things that inspire the home. So Alex has really helped me to capture those feelings of travel and memories - that feeling of having Parisienne croissants or drinking wine in Lisbon definitely came through in these images.

I wanted to transport the audience in these images and to share those memories and experiences. Although branding and Instagram can feel so overwhelming in creating a ‘perfect’ image or moment. I feel like I came pretty close to where I wanted to be. I know I will never be perfect but I always want to strive for the best and most honest version of myself and business!

My latest ‘travel design’ TOTE!

How amazing is this platter of deliciousness! Some festive ideas perhaps?!

I remember buying this percolator in Cinque Terre and obsessing over croissants and coffee for breakfast everyday!

I love that red, black, white, grey combination. It feels timeless.

Architecture reminiscent of Paris and Prague.

Cosy!

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Hope it brought you a little inspiration!
