'Plant People' A Virtual Exhibition

This virtual exhibition is a very new experience for me! I apologise in advance for my amateur experience in filming and photography! But I do think that this has been a great learning experience. In this strange time we are living in, I have felt a need to be inspired, to have something to look forward to. I started to think about my experiences of the past 6 months; from living in the chaos of Melbourne, abruptly moving to Brisbane with my partner and to  finding my path in a new city. We left with so much uncertainty, I had no idea what would happen to my small business and whether it would be ok. But out of something dark and ominous, I felt like my artwork flourished and new colours started to evolve... Plant People is a new series of etchings that explores my relationship to the Australian landscape and my experiences of living and moving to Queensland.

If you liked viewing this mini virtual exhibition, you can view each etching on my website gallery and there is also an option to purchase them directly from my online shop. Each etching is unique and belongs to a small, limited edition of 20. I hand paint each edition using a number of materials including acrylic, water colours, gouache, gold and silver leaf pigment and a gloss varnish.
